The client came with a need to organize a second advertising campaign for their Telegram community. The theme of the resource is businesspeople. Previously, advertising in other communities didn’t give the desired results. Subscribers were bots who unsubscribed in large numbers.

Task

Sell ads for subscriptions to the target audience in the Telegram chat.

Progress

 

We gained access to the Telegram channel and decided on the budget and creatives. Initially, we realized that we needed a landing page to filter traffic with the ability to set up the advertising campaign for conversions.

We developed the landing page using a builder, where the first button was “join the community,” and the second was “download Telegram.”

Goal: Launch the advertising campaign and gain subscriptions.

We created a Look-alike audience based on the customer base. We ran ads targeting the same audience but also looked for potential packages. After analyzing the statistics, we found that out of 100% of those who clicked the “join” button, only 70% subscribed on average.

Results obtained

Final Result

For example, the audience with limited interests showed poor results, but subscriptions increased by 10%. The acceptable KPI was 50 cents, but we achieved 22 cents. During testing of new creative videos with a call to action, the cost per lead was 10 cents. The best result came from using a carousel with two stories (one interesting and one with a call to action). The winning creative approach was asking a business question that could be answered in one of the community’s posts.
